Face shapes!

Alot of people don't know what their face shape is (and I didn't until a few weeks ago!)

I think that face shapes are forgotten most of the time, (like a coat stuffed at the back of your wardrobe that you only wear once) and actually it is really important so keep reading and i'll talk you through all the shapes and what characteristics there are that come with having each one and what hairstyles will suit you!

Oval face- This is considered the perfect face as each side of your face is equal to the other! It is longer than wide and has a jaw which is narrower than the cheekbones. Your "perfect" features make you suited for nearly any hair style (lucky!) but I would suggest to avoid covering your features with heavy full or side fringes.

Oblong face- This face shape is also known as a rectangle and the characteristics are that the face is longer than it is wide and is close to the same width across the forehead, jawline and cheekbone. I think that having a hair style with bangs will really add width to the cheekbones, especially a fringe just touching the eyebrows.

Heart face- This face shape normally has a wider forehead and a narrower chin. The positioning of the hairline looks similar to a heart. I would try a chin length or a longer styled hair cut. Also using side partings or swept layers will look gorgeous on this face shape! Hair styles like these will create a balanced look by giving fullness where you need it.

Square face- This face shape has a strong square jaw line and a equal squared hairline. The width of your cheeks and forehead will be very similar, same from your jawline to your forehead. You want to try haircuts that will give the illusion of both the forehead and jawline appear narrower. Haircuts like short or medium length with layers will do the trick!

Triangle face- This is a reverse look of the heart face shape! It has a more dominant jawline with the face narrowing at the cheekbones and on the temples. You want to try shorter hair that will balance all the features of your face, a haircut that makes the face look fuller! Off centre partings will look great also.

Diamond- (This is my face shape!) The diamond face shape has a narrow chin and forehead with wide prominent cheekbones. (Because I have this face shape, I love to excentuate my cheekbones with a contour palette- I recommend the sleek kit. Contouring is so good for all face shapes but there are different techniques you can use to create different outcomes! - if that makes sense) Hairstyles for this face shape could include bobs, they work very well to frame the face. Also using a full or side fringe will work well to cover the narrow forehead. Nearly every hairstyle works for this face as you are a dramatic diamond (haha), but just don't wear too much hair on your face as it will hide your features.

Pear- The pear shape face is characterized by a small or narrow forehead and a larger appearing jaw line. I think that a short cropped cut will really suit this face shape as it will frame and bring out the features.

Round- The round shaped face has a wider hairline and looks more fuller below the cheekbones. A hairstyle to suit this would be short length but not too short. Keeping it very fluffy and volumtuous  and layering the top will achieve fullness and by keeping the rest of the hair close to the face, it will appear longer and narrower!

So I really hope you've enjoyed this post, comment below if you have any questions and tell me your face shape! (Just a little reminder that everyone is beautiful no matter what face shape you have!)

Have a lovely day everyone :-)

Introduction

Hello people of the blog world!

My name is Lucy Rose and I have myself a blog, In which I will be talking about all things fashion/makeup/beauty/clothes related! Because all us girls love that stuff, hehe.

Just thought I would introduce myself-

As mentioned above, my name is Lucy rose and I am 16 years old and I am just a typical teenage girl really! youtubers (I have a youtube, I will link in the description or on my blog somewhere) food (obviously), shopping, hanging out with friends, much more...

I Am obsessed with makeup, my life = makeup? I've always been interested in makeup since a young age and began experimenting with foundation and mascara at around the ages of 10-11 (when I was starting secondary) and I have literally been hooked since. I love to try all brands and types of makeup, wether it's cheap or expensive, foundations or eyeliners, eyeshadows or lipsticks, you name it, I've tried it! I'm always looking for new things to experiment with too.

I love to shop (literally shop till I drop or till my feet ache is what I mean) and I love to mix and match and make up outfits! Shopping is my skill as I can acquire many items of clothing for not much money ;-) especially at Christmas time! I always go for things that are quite cheap so I can get a lot of things for less, unless there is something that I desperately want and I will splurge out the money to get it... I have had my eye on a Zara coat recently priced at £80 and guess what? I don't have the money *sob*

I am currently taking beauty at a college and it is honestly the best course! We are practicing facials and eye treatments such as tinting or eyelash extensions! If you are really obsessed with makeup and beauty (like me) then this is definitely the course for you! I have 3 ambitions from this:

1) I finish my level 2 &3 and go onto work in cruise liners and travel around the world (cool, ey?)

2) finish my level 2 & 3 and go work abroad in hotels

3) finish my level 2 & 3 and go to an academy in London and study the makeup artistry and prosthetics and become a makeup artist! -

my dream was either to become a makeup artist or a dentist (haha 2 very different things!) But I am passionate and I'm sure with the right attitude I'll get somewhere in life! :-)

I hope you enjoyed my little introduction and insight into what I love to do and what I am doing at the moment! if you did, please be sure to follow me on my blog and I will see you guys later!

thanks! Have a lovely day

My wish OOTD- River Island

Okay so I have to admit! I don't go into river island often (or at all to be honest), I just haven't been fussed on any of the clothes recently. HOWEVER they have bounced back and brought out some gorgeous clothes for autumn/winter. On the picture below you can see my wish list from RI.

The shoes are definitely my favourite part of the entire outfit, they are just utterly beautiful and I need them in my life ASAP. I can't really decide wether they are decently priced, £45? I'm sure topshop have some similar boots that are more expensive, so I'd guess that £45 for some shoes is average!

This is something I would wear to college or if I were going anywhere, like shopping etc. I would team the boots with some simple black jeans or leggings, a knitted sweater and a statement necklace like the one shown in the picture (I really liked that one because it wasn't too crazy nor was it too boring! Love the black and gold triangles!)

Just a little blog post but I have restarted with my blog and I will be posting things related to fashion/beauty/clothes/makeup (you get me)

Let me know in the comments if you would wear this outfit! I definitely would, and when I get enough money it will all soon be mine! Mwuahahah.

Hope you have a lovely day and until next time, cya!
